HALLOWEEN
Halloween is annually celebrated on the night of 31st October. Pumpkins, witches, spiders, bats and candles, among others, are the symbols of this day.
It is celebrated everywhere in the world, especially in countries like the USA, Ireland, Canada and the United Kingdom.
In Portugal this tradition is not so common as in the above countries, but children and young people take part in many spooky activities.
Here at school our students have enthusiastically taken part in the exhibition organized by the teachers of English. The scariest and most malefic Witch Contest is already taking place and many have presented the evil witches with their brooms in such a sinister way that they seemed they would suddenly come up and haunt or send spells.
